DRIVING TEST

Driving tests can be nerve-wracking.  And an optimal amount of nerves can be beneficial to your performance.  HOWEVER, if you are nervous to the point of avoiding taking your exam or if you have failed the exam before, you may benefit from hypnotherapy.

Anticipation is oftentimes worse than the test itself, however, I'm sure this doesn't help you as you read this!  As soon as the exam date is set, you think of all the possible scenarios you may face and questions the examiner may ask.  These go round and round in your head, creating stress and anxiety resulting in the fear that you will “go blank” on the day of your exam.  This anxiety can put a great amount of stress on you, and if you have failed the exam before this can then be compounded.

Hypnotherapy can help to manage your nerves and increase confidence in your driving ability, overcome the fear of being judged by the examiner and help you regain control over the situation, so that you can focus and perform to the best of your ability on the day of your exam.  Visualisation techniques will be used in which you will ‘rehearse’ completing and passing the driving test in your mind, so that your mind is prepared to pass, and therefore will help increase your self-belief.

Positive thinking and remaining calm can help you pass your practical driving exam.
